Study: Neither Mistoprol or Iburpofen Reduce Insertion Pain

Hi,

I was doing some google prepping for my insertion (next Thursday) and curious if Naproxen or Ibuprofen were better (I know naproxen is better for menstrual cramps). Anyhow, I ran into this and thought it was pretty interesting.

I intend to take both an NSAID and some tramadol that I happen to be prescribed to right nor for an injury anyways. I mean, it can't hurt, right? Thought I would share though.

Doctor declined to give me anything like Valium for the nerves. I had one insertion before (Mirena) and while I didn't feel that scared I was trembling and it took a bit to calm down enough for the doctor to do the procedure. Not sure how I will manage that issue - a glass of wine before perhaps? :)
