How do you know you have PID post-paragrad insertion?

Day 2 of Paragrad.
The warning for Paragard states: "If you experience severe abdominal pain, fever or vaginal discharge or bleeding after your IUD is inserted, contact your doctor as soon as possible to ensure you do not have a pelvic infection."

Well, there's definitely abdominal pain and bleeding. (which I thought were normal) Sometimes the pain is on the left, sometimes its general cramp pain. It's not very intense but it's everywhere and constant. So should I watch out for fever or other general-infection symptoms before I contact my doctor?

My doctor told me not to have sex for 3 days but I lasted maybe 6 hours and hormone-free sex is pretty amazing so I have no interest in stopping. (I'm in a functionally monogamous relationship but there is a small risk of STI, in my mind there always is.) However, I don't think I've ever had an STI or PID. I've never been diagnosed with either and my paps always come out normal. I have no experience with what PID feels like, so any tips would be appreciated.

My questions:
Can you have asymptomatic PID that causes infertility?
What are the PID post-paragrad symptoms I should watch out for?

Thank you!
